I played for the Denver Broncos for 10 years from 1979-1988 as an ALL-PRO Wide Receiver. Following my career in the NFL I started my own real estate development company with another friend and continued that endeavor for the next 10 years, from 1989-1999. I had the good fortune to be a sports analyst at KUSA Channel 9 in Denver from 1992-1994. Every Monday night before the Broncos played I would go on the air with Ron Zappolo (local sportscaster) and give my thoughts and analysis of the Bronco game.It was a great opportunity in 2000 that prompted me to try coaching in the NFL. My former coach Mike Shanahan asked me if I would be interested in becoming an assistant coach with the Denver Broncos and I accepted. From 2000-2009 I was a coach for the Denver Broncos Football Club. It was a great experience for me to work with young players and teach. My background gave me great references to draw upon. After my experience in the NFL I was blessed with the opportunity to coach on the college level at the University of Minnesota and Indiana State. I found this experience to be very rewarding. Watching young people grow in their lives and chase their dreams was fun and challenging. It was exciting to be able to participate in their development. In the recent months I have moved on from the football world and joined some great friends on their real estate team. We are known as the BONANZA TEAM @ Keller Williams Realty DTC. It has been great fun for me to return to Colorado and start something new and exciting. I have been a public speaker all of my career in Denver and am now doing it for a living. It is such a blessing for me to have been able to be part of the Denver Broncos. I am now tellng my story in hopes that it may inspire people to not give up on your dreams. Set the bar high and stay in the game. You never know how close you are to achieving your goals.
