Karin Childress-Wiley is National Director of Veteran Employment for Military.com and Monster.com. Karin's mission is to educate and inspire her teams, clients and Veteran Service Organizations by telling the Veteran Employment story in an impactful and meaningful way. In her role she bridges the gap between Employers and Veterans through company outreach, training and Strategy.
Karin says, "I am one of the lucky few who gets to wake up daily to my "dream come true" job." Karin has made Veteran employment that anchor that makes her job meaningful. Karin speaks about Authentic Veteran Support and promoting the amazing Veteran Spirit. Karin is married to a tough-as-nails Marine Corps Gunny with 20+ years active duty and Mom to two amazing little girls – Sweetness and The Wolverine.
She brings together a triad of voices to create Veteran Recruitment Programs - always with the Veteran - their needs and goals at the heart of each program. As a Military Spouse, Veteran Resource Volunteer, Key Spouse, Veteran Employment and Spouse Life Blogger she brings the voice of the community she serves into the conversation."
In her presentations she discusses creating authentic and real Veteran programs that serve the Veteran and Employer community. She challenges employers get past the Yellow Ribbons, Stock Photos and stereotypes to understand what their organization truly has to offer Veterans and what they expect from the Veterans they seek to employ and desire to retain.
Karin and her family are currently stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force base in Dayton Ohio by have journeyed the Nation stationed in Ventura, California, Pasadena, California and Lexington, Kentucky.
