Jason Benetti is a television sports play-by-play announcer who also has cerebral palsy. He currently does play-by-play locally in Chicago for Major League Baseball's White Sox. He also is a play-by-play announcer nationally for ESPN, where he's called Major League Baseball, college football, basketball, baseball and lacrosse and also the Special Olympics World Games. Perception of Jason has led to his understanding that one trait does not define a person. His speeches include his experiences as a member of the sports media with a disability, and the situations and relationships which stem from his observations.

Verified @jccotp.orgAs a summer camp director, one of my biggest challenges is finding the right speakers to who are able to effectively communicate to a staff of primarily high school and college age individuals. Jason was able to engage my team, have them laughing, participating, and genuinely enjoying staff training. His topic were perfect for my audience, and it was clear that his message made an impact. We would welcome Jason Benetti back as a speaker any day.

Verified @cpofnys.orgJason Benetti made a powerful, positive and uplifting presentation to about 200 people at the closing session of the Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State Annual Conference. He used humor and personal anecdotes to convey how he uses his ability as a broadcaster to change how his audience perceives people with disabilities. Jason is a talented and successful sportscaster. He is able to make people forget about the disability and accept the man and his abilities. His message to others is to embrace their abilities and refuse to let others label or limit them simply because they do not fit easily into a preconceived expectation.

Verified @hillsboroughcounty.orgI am writing this reference on behalf of Jason Benetti who was a guest speaker at our Paralympic Sport Tampa Bay "Imagine the Pasta-bilities" Fundraiser last year. He spoke in front of 250 athletes with disabilities, coaches, family, friends and sponsors. Jason has an outstanding speaking voice, is charming, witty, and his zest for life comes through in his presentation. He demonstrates a high level of energy, enhanced by many personal anecdotes as he follows his life's dream and passion. Jason is the best motivational speaker we have had in the five (5) years we have presented this event. He would make an excellent guest speaker for any program.
