Sao paulo, BRAZIL
Brazil's polar explorer and leading inspirational speaker inspires audiences using his personal expedition to Arctic and Antarctica as lessons for corporate learning and leadership.

New and challenging times call for a powerful message and a new way of inspiring and developing people. Amyr Klink, a Brazilian polar explorer knows what it means to overcome challenges and pursue a goal.

He inspires audiences all over the globe sharing his knowledge and personal experiences in dynamic and life changing speeches.

Amyr Klink, rower, sailor, pilot, economist, speaker and author, has led an extraordinary life. He was born in 1955, to a Lebanese father and a Swedish mother. He was the first man ever to cross the Atlantic Ocean rowing (1984), departing from the African Continent (Namibia) and arriving in South America (Brazil), 100 days later. He also completed the first non-stop solo circumnavigation aboard a sailboat in Antarctica.

In 1989 after finalizing the construction of his polar sailboat "PARATII", Amyr sailed during the summer to Antarctica where he remained throughout the winter as his boat froze into the icecap. This was the first "solo wintering" in the Antarctic continent. From the Antarctic Polar Circle he proceeded beyond latitude 80*North of the Arctic Circle, returning home 642 days after his departure.

In 1998 on a journey lasting 88 days, Amyr initiated the first solo Circumnavigation of Antarctica. Aboard 'PARATII", he successfully utilized a flexible, self-sustaining mast made of carbon composite, which, until then, had never been used in high latitudes.

Aboard his new schooner "PARATII2", Amyr led his crew on an experimental journey towards the extreme south of the Antarctic Peninsula. In 2003 he set course back to the Antarctic and, in 78 days, completed the first non-stop circumnavigation of the Antarctic continent. He had been in Antarctica more than 30 times, and still keeps sailing south every summer on board of vessels he built.

Amyr wrote a number of books, amongst them: "Cem Dias Entre Céu e Mar"(One Hundred Days Between Sky and Sea), "Paratii Entre Dois Polos"(Paratii - Between Two Poles); "As Janelas do Paratii"(Windows of Paratii); "Mar sem Fim"(Endless Sea); "Linha D' Água" (Water Line).

Amyr is a member of the Royal Geographic Society and also became one of the "Top 5" lecturers in his native country, had been given more than 2500 speeches (in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese), in companies, schools, at private and public events, locally and abroad. He is very often invited by polar vessels to come aboard as a key note speaker for their crew members and passengers, as an advisor, or as a consultant for Polar Regions.
