Having worked with businesses for the more than 20 years, I've found – and I know you will agree – that people issues are the bane of every employer. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say 'Turnover is killing me!' and 'If I could just find the right people, business would be easy.' After hearing this over and over, I knew that I could help with my experiences, knowledge, and ability to work with people and for people. This combination of acumen, an MBA, and a keen desire to understand and get along well with people led me to hone my communication skills. The more I learned the more I realized that I could create a program that you can implement in much less time! Once you commit to improving your skills, you, too, can reduce turnover and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
In addition, I'm certified in DiSC Behavioral Styles, Strengthfinders, Courageous Conversations and Solution Selling. I have delivered programs to small businesses and groups of people looking to improve their communication skills both professionally and personally since 1996. Through all of this I've found that the single most important aspect of communication is not only listening, it's really hearing what people are saying in the way they want to be heard.
On a personal note, I enjoy live music, exploring the plethora of microbreweries in CO or enjoying a great glass of wine while sitting on my deck gazing at Long's Peak. I currently own a Quarter Horse - Bo is retired from the show pen and at 20 years old is enjoying his well-deserved retirement. I am on the Board of Directors as the newsletter coordinator and awards chair of the Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association. Keeping me company at home is James Dean, the most fabulous Maine Coon on the planet!
