Dr. Greg Autry is an educator, writer and technology entrepreneur. He researches entrepreneurship and innovation at USC and recently served in a White House appointment at NASA.

Dr. Greg Autry is an educator, writer and serial technology entrepreneur. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studeis at the Mashall School of Business, University of Southern California. He publishes on New Space (commercial spaceflight), entrepreneurship, economics and trade policy. Dr. Autry's research is focused on innovation policy and the influences of government on entrepreneurial environments and emerging industries. He formerly served on the President Elect's Transition NASA Agency Review Team and as the White House Liaison to NASA. 

Dr. Autry is the co-author, with Dr. Peter Navarro, of the book Death by China and a producer on the documentary film, Death by China, directed by Navarro and narrated by Martin Sheen. He also serves on the board of the American Jobs Alliance and as Senior Economist with the Coalition for a Prosperous America, non-profit organizations dedicated to restoring America's strength through trade reform and strategic industrial policy. 

Dr. Autry is a firm believer in America's bright future in the solar system. He has been conducting research in the space industry since 2003. He has also been a significant and early advocate for leveraging the capabilities of America's entrepreneurial commercial space firms in NASA, DOD and elsewhere. Dr. Autry was the primary author of An Analysis of U.S. National Competitive Advantage in Human Orbital Spaceflight Markets, an influential report prepared for the FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation (FAA AST). Dr. Autry writes and comments regularly on space topics and also serves on the editorial board of the New Space Journal. Dr. Autry's comments on space, technology and trade have been published in major news outlets including the San Francisco Chronicle, LA Times, Washington Times, Wall Street Journal and SpaceNews. He is a regular Forbes Contributor on space and technology.

Dr. Autry has testified to the House Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on Oversight and Investigations on two occasions and has presented at the Canadian Parliament. He has spoken at the Heritage Foundation, the National Association of Business Economists, The National Press Club, the AIAA Space conference and the California Democratic Party Convention (a rare invite to a Republican). He has been a keynote speaker on the economics of cyber espionage at several industry events hosted by FBI Counter Intelligence.

Dr. Autry has founded six technology startup firms. His startups include an early video game startup (products sold to Atari and Blizzard), a computer services firm sold to a public company and a technology services company that developed critical enterprise software for Kaiser Permanente. 

Dr. Autry holds a BA in history from Cal Poly Pomona as well as an MBA and a PhD (public policy and econ) from the Merage School of Business at UC Irvine.
