Named a 2016 30 under 30 winner by Folio Magazine, Britt Hysen is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of MiLLENNiAL, a news and lifestyle media brand bringing attention to global millennial leaders. From celebrities involved in causes to CEOs disrupting industries, Britt produces content that speaks to the social impact of the generation.
Having begun her career as an actress on AMC's Mad Men, Britt foresaw the transition to digital media in 2010 and pivoted into the world of web journalism to share the stories of those making a difference. Journalist peers began calling her The Voice of Gen Y and referring to her as the leading authority on millennial change-makers. By 2013, Britt had conducted over 300 interviews with top millennial influencers, produced five web series, built an international blogging community, helped assemble CNBC's first millennial "disruptor" list, and earned a B.S. in Business Marketing & Management from Penn State University.
On June 1, 2014, Britt launched MiLLENNiAL to highlight generational heroes while creating authentic relationships between brands and the elusive demographic. Within four months of its debut, The White House named MiLLENNiAL a Top 100 Most Influential Digital Media Site for Millennials.
Since then, Britt has established working relationships with Discovery Channel, Capitol Records, and Belkin among other Fortune 500 companies, and has served as a panelist for SXSW Eco, program moderator for Amsterdam Dance Event and the Global eCommerce Summit, and Keynote speaker for Sustainable Brands Barcelona, IE CMO Summit, and IE Digital Marketing Summit.
In addition to being a media entrepreneur, Britt is a passionate humanitarian, blogger for The Huffington Post, contributor to KNX 1070 AM Business Report, and a marketing expert on all things millennial.
