Karen Magill

BC, CANADA
I help people with unsecured debt find lower interest rates, pay their debt off faster and save money.

On June 5, 2000, Karen Magill woke partially paralysed on one side of her body. Nine days later she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and by the end of September, the chronic illness forced Ms. Magill to go on disability, leaving the best job she'd ever had. She thought her life was over... but it wasn't.

Today, Karen is the author of five published books – the first, The Bond, A Paranormal Love Story, has won an award, been translated into Turkish and is being adapted to film. In 2014, when Ms. Magill published her only non-fiction book, On The Right Side, My Story of Survival and Success, which tells her story of living with MS, she also connected with the BIL Conference in Vancouver. This launched her budding motivational speaking career. She has spoken at every annual BIL Conference in Vancouver since then, is a member of the board for the BIL Vancouver Society and has spoken at numerous events around the city.

Karen Magill is disabled by MS but when she looks around, she sees so many people who are disabled by debt. Using her life experience and experience as a tax collector, she started the money-coaching program, The 90-Day Turnaround, 90 Days to Financial Stability. With this program, Karen helps those with unsecured debt find lower interest rates, pay their debt off faster and save money. She also guides them so that they do not repeat the spending patterns which got them into difficulty to begin with.

I have MS and my disability is an invisible one but it has stopped me. Since i was diagnosed in 2000 and went on disability, I have published five books - one has won an award. been translated into Turkish and is being adapted to film - I have a budding career as a motivational speaker and I have a life coaching program where I help others with challenges realize goals.
