OH, USMarsha Therese Danzig, M.Ed, RYT500, CIAYT is the founder of Yoga for Amputees, a wellness initiative focused on people with limb loss. Her pioneering work has been utilized in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, yoga studios and wellness centers around the globe, from Michigan to Myanmar.
Marsha has authored over 7 books , including her 5 star rated Yoga for Amputees: The Essential Guide to Wholeness After Limb Loss. She is a frequent and respected contributor to therapeutic books, medical journals and the amputee community.
Marsha is a childhood Ewing's sarcoma( bone) cancer survivor , who was given death rites at the age of five, lost her leg at 13 due to recurrent cancer, and was treated with dialysis at the peak of her academic career studying to earn her Ph.D at Columbia University in French. She now has a kidney transplant.
She worked at the Center for Human rights at the United Nations in Switzerland, researching the status of disability rights for children globally, studied at the Sorbonne and the Goethe institute, and received a Masters from Harvard University. She is fluent in French with a fair knowledge of Spanish as well.
Her compelling story as a pioneer rebel has inspired people worldwide to live life abundantly and without regrets.
