Glenn Berggoetz

IN, US
The King of Indie comedy

"Glenn Berggoetz is a uniquely compelling
individual - there's no one else like him."
Paste magazine

Glenn is the writer, director and producer of eleven feature-length small-budget independent films.  Glenn is known for making crowd-pleasing films on micro-budgets - typically of $2,000 or less.  This has led to the publication of his book The Independent Filmmaker's Guide – Make Your Feature Film for $2,000 by Limelight Editions.

"The movie business would be unbearably drab without Berggoetz."

film critic Jim Vorel

Glenn has directed such noted actors as Joe Bob Briggs (Monstervision) and Kane Hodder (Friday the 13th).  While most often associated with his comedy films, Glenn has also branched out into the horror genre with such films as The Ghosts of Johnson Woods and Paralyzed with Fear.  His comedy The Worst Movie EVER! gained international attention when it was released in theaters when it sold just one ticket its opening weekend, generating just $11 in box office, thus setting an all-time record for the worst opening weekend in cinema history.  Glenn's comedy To Die is Hard was ranked as the 16th-best B movie in cinema history in the Paste magazine rankings of the 100 greatest B movies ever made.  Most of Glenn's films have received theatrical releases, and most of them are available in Bluray and DVD form.

Glenn's talks are lively, refreshing, filled with fun behind-the-scenes tales, and always well received.  He speaks all over the U.S. and Canada to film groups and at film and horror festivals.

"Glenn's entertaining, intelligent, yet approachable style was inspirational and educational.  His talent at weaving fun, personal anecdotes along with good, concrete information made for a truly engaging talk.  Hands down, Mr. Berggoetz was a favorite speaker at the Boulder Filmmaking Incubator."
