Rich Neureuther
ARE THEY LYING TO YOU??
Did you ever wonder if someone was lying to you?
These are the provocative questions retired FBI special agent Rich Neureuther poses in his presentation where he offers help to find truth and stories meant to help people find their own truths. In his popular presentation, Neureuther shares interviewing techniques that the FBI uses every day to tell when people are lying. He teaches audiences to watch for the red flags that could mean someone is being untruthful. The "take aways" are numerous and Neureuther presents them in a way that is both effective and entertaining.
One event planner recently praised his presentation, saying, "Our participants loved his secrets into the world of recognizing deception and his video examples brought many laughs." The clues he shares to detect deceit will be valuable to the CEO in any board room, to managers, to anyone involved with hiring, to sales people, to human resources staffs and to anyone who deals with people.
KEY TAKE AWAYS:
1. Tips and tools to help you tell if someone could be lying.
2. How the dishonest person disguises the lie, whether it's through body language or through statements they make.
3. How to phrase questions so that it's harder to lie.
STORIES TO INSPIRE as SEEN THROUGH THE EYES of an FBI AGENT
In addition to his tips on how to spot a lie, Neureuther draws on his 30 years with the FBI for the rest of his presentation to tell stories that are motivational, inspirational and thought-provoking.
For example, he relates the story of how an FBI informant saved his life while Neureuther was working undercover in Detroit. He also shares a graphic, visual story of the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon and its aftermath.
The FBI had sent him to the Pentagon two days after the attack to provide stress debriefings to help survivors deal with the tragedy. He says that talking with those survivors was life-changing. One of his favorite survivor stories is chilling, heroic and even touching.
Neureuther often reflects that an FBI informant once saved his life, but a 9/11 survivor taught him how to live it. He hopes that his presentation inspires audiences to examine their lives and decide for themselves what is truly important.
TESTIMONIALS
It isn't often we encounter a presenter that 'pleases everyone' in the room. Every member that I spoke with that left the room after you spoke, told me about their amazing experience. They asked 'What took you so long to bring Rich in to speak', 'Can we invite him back again next year?" and "Rich delivered a powerful presentation". From the meeting planner's perspective, this is music to my ears. Rich, when you and I were working on details for the program, when you asked what the audience was looking to learn from the program, I was excited about the description you provided. The end result…your program greatly exceeded all expectations I had. And because I take our memberships' satisfaction very seriously, I have high expectations. Thank you Rich for making us look good, for giving our members one of the best presentations they attended at our Conference and giving them a learning experience they can put into action immediately and a positive message that will remain with them for a very long time. -Wisconsin Credit Association WCA
"Rich gave us interesting insights into the world of an FBI agent, and the challenges they face. His mix of real world experience and human introspection were entertaining and educational. Our participants loved his secrets into the world of recognizing deception and his video examples brought many laughs. From a planner's perspective, Rich was a dream to work with... on time, great communication and enjoyable."
-Thank you! Stephanie
Just wanted to let you know that yesterday went GREAT! We are starting to get the survey's on the day in from all the employees who were there and everyone has been extremely positive on Rich's talk. We are reading on the surveys that they thought he was very captivating on his subject and the second part about identifying when people could be lying was mentioned in a lot of the surveys as their favorite portion of the day. They thought he was very interesting and was by far one of the most well received speakers we have had in the 4 years we have been having these training days. Some of the employees even said they could have listened to him for longer! He was a great fit for our day. Thank you for suggesting him to me. -Laura
Thanks again for your time…we could have listened to your stories for another twelve hours. -Sandy AIS Technology
