Dr Bennett has over 24 years of experience in neuromodulation (the treatment of neuropathic pain syndromes utilizing electric current over the spinal cord and nerve structures) and opioid chemotherapeutics (the application of narcotic analgesics in the treatment of cancer pain a and chronic non-cancer pain).

He is now involved in clinical research using pluripotent stem cells and regenerative matrix for pain.

After graduating from the University of Miami Miller School with a Doctorate in Medicine, he pursued a residency in Anesthesiology, completing Anesthesiology/Pain in 1993.  He developed one of the first hospital based pain practices in Colorado, moving into private practice in 1996.

Dr Bennett has consulted for the pharmaceutical industry since 1998 in Phase 2, 3 and 4 development of molecules related to pain.  He has extensive experience in opioid analgesics. He has also consulted for medical device in the areas of pain, for  neuromodulation (both implantables such as spinal cord stimulation, and non-implantables such as radiofrequency ablation) and for minimally invasive surgery for pain related disorders.
