Craig Wilkinson
Craig is the author of "DAD – The Power and Beauty of Authentic Fatherhood" (available at major bookstores and on Amazon at http://bit.ly/DADBook). He has a passion for the restoration of men to true masculinity and authentic fatherhood and spoke on the topic of manhood at the 2014 TEDx event in Cape Town (see http://goo.gl/fUFQCJ for Craig's TEDx talk).
An experienced speaker and facilitator Craig talks with passion and authority on a variety of topics. His passion is to see men and women fully alive and gives the following talks on that theme:
"Why Healing Men will Heal the World",
"Understanding the Masculine and Feminine Soul",
"Why Men Behave the Way They Do",
"Real Man Real Dad",
"Fatherhood",
"The 12 Dadverbs", and
"The real reasons behind gender based violence and how to fix it".
Craig also talks on leadership and personal effectiveness with topics like:
"Principles of excellence"
"The essence of time (managing yourself and time)"
"Personal effectiveness"
In addition Craig gives a talk about socio-economic development in South Africa learnt from his years of experience in running development programmes in townships and rural areas. This thought provoking talk is called "it's not about the resources it's about the people"
Craig's talks have been hugely well received at corporate conferences and events, gala dinners, schools, government departments, universities and NGO's. References and testimonials are available in each of these categories.
Craig founded and runs "Father A Nation" (FAN), an NPO which restores and equips men to be great fathers. He believes that the role of men has become confused and the definition of masculinity has become distorted, but if we can heal men we can heal the world.
Craig has worked extensively in the non-profit sector in the areas of experiential education, socio-economic development and the development of men and fathers, as well as a consultant to the corporate sector in training, strategy and human resource development. He co-founded and ran the African Dream Trust, was CEO of Outward Bound SA and founder and Director of Empowa Consulting (Pty) Ltd. Craig lives in Cape Town, South Africa with his wife and two children Luke (21) and Blythe (18).
