Over the past 20 years, Dr. Gulati has transformed organizations into innovative powerhouses from both the inside and out by helping leaders navigate amongst the tumultuous terrain of disruptive innovations, while re-imagining new possibilities for an inspired future. Currently, as the founder of The Unusual Group, he spends much of his time speaking, writing, and advising companies of various industries on novel innovative strategies. Most recently he was the Chief Medical Officer and Head of Product Innovation for Physicians Interactive Holdings, where he led a world-class team to ideate, design, build, and deploy disruptive solutions for a health audience. In addition to his executive roles, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of "Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship" at Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School, and sits on numerous company boards.
Dr. Gulati is currently working on a book, tentatively titled 10% Unusual, that uncovers the hidden secrets of the worlds leading innovators...which is due to be released in the Fall of 2015.
He resides in the beautiful hillsides of Great Falls, VA with his wife and two kiddos who inspire him daily with their pure sense of curiosity and wonder.
