
Ray Mullaney

RI, USIn 1977, Mr. Mullaney received a Master's Degree (MSW) from Stony Brook University. His focus was public health; specifically, preventing occupational lung diseases. While in graduate school his dad died and he took responsibility for investing the modest family funds. Thus began Ray's career in business.
In 1980 Ray started an SEC registered investment advisory firm and a full-service NASD member firm, a Broker/Dealer. As the business grew, his social and business activities broadened.
In the mid-1980s Ray began a business consultancy firm. He focused on assisting small companies modernize to more effectively meet the challenges of increasing foreign competition. To this end, his firm received funding from the US Dept. of Commerce.
Ray has been a financial, investment and economics advisor, consultant and manager to numerous organizations; he has served on the boards of directors of several public companies and many private and non-profit organizations.
Ray is author the author of Prosperity, Liberty & Washington - protecting capital in a declining empire. Which will be published in 2015.
In 1986, one of Ray's business reports was extensively quoted in a front page article in the New York Times. His articles and reports have been quoted in USA Today, The Boston Globe, Standard & Poor's - Pension Investment Reporter and many other newspapers and financial magazines.
In 1986, Ray served on the White House Conference on Small Business and the on the small business advisory committee for the governor of Massachusetts.
In the mid-1980s Ray began speaking on radio and TV shows. Ray traveled to New York and Washington speaking to many social, business, professional and political organizations. Ray provided economic research to a representative of a bi-partisan joint, Senate-House Committee on Declining American Competitiveness.
His work gained him the respect of many major economists, including Leonard Silk, PhD, former economics editor of the New York Times; George Cabot Lodge, PhD, professor at the Harvard Business School, James D. Gwartney, PhD of Florida State University, professor and author of economics text books, John Makin, PhD, Director of Fiscal Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington DC and Charles McMillion, PhD, former editor of the Harvard Business Review.
Ray and his wife maintain homes in Bridgeport, CT and North Kingstown, Rhode Island. They have 3 adult children and two grandchildren. Ray's wife, Kimberley Rodney, is a small business banker with a privately-held community bank Kim is active in non-profit organizations as well.
In 2015, Ray will focus on presenting his firms research to business, academic, professional and non-profit audiences.
