I’m a retired law enforcement officer and have sat through many diversity trainings...but Dr. Lisa’s session was different. She was entertaining while encouraging critical thinking, and her engaging, nonjudgmental panache would be a strong addition to bias training for law enforcement.

Unconscious Bias Training: I think we can agree that 2020 was a difficult year for us all professionally, personally, and socially as a country. Left in the aftermath of civil unrest that hit another pinnacle last year, our organization felt compelled to address it for the sake of our clients, our staff, and our own hearts. Internally, we created a committee that brought our employees together to discuss and educate ourselves on how systematic racism plays a part in our lives and how we can do better. That being said, it was a new venture, and like many companies, we had questions and concerns about the best way to proceed in the most impactful and appropriate way.
