Lisa A Phillips
Certified Children's Coach
WA, USLisa Phillips cares about the future of our military families. Marriage is hard today, but a military marriage has all the traditional aspects, but also encompasses living under a different and difficult set of circumstances. Today, nearlly 2 out of 3 military marriages fail. If the backbone of support for our military members is their immediate family members, but these families fall apart, where does that leave our nation's military force? How effective can our nation's military be if their most vital relationships are distintegrating.
Lisa believes that faith and a strong prayer life was foundational in living out her role as a military wife for 21 years. She is uniquely qualified to speak to the needs, struggles, and concerns of military wives. Lisa writes in her new book, Faith Steps for Military Families, "When we are covering our service member by the shield of prayer, we are engaging God's defense system of protection." The overarching premise of faith is that it makes a significant difference in the overall well-being of military members and the families that love and stand beside them in faithful support. Lisa's heart lies in the passion to inspire and motivate military wives and couples to embrace faith in order to build resiliency and unity into their marriages. With military marriages struggling more than at any other time, her signature speech is on "The Spiritual Benefits of Unity," taken from Psalm 133 and from her recent book.
To broaden her brand, Lisa is currently enrolled in the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) for certification in Advanced Christian Life Coaching. She also facilitates a military wives ministry at her home church, Marysville Church of the Nazarene.
Realizing that the role of the military wife is one of sacrificial service, she encourages and provides churches with military ministries or military wives groups, organizations, seminars, women's events, and other organizations with practical biblical principles to encourage and inspire them to greater success and contentment in their role as a military wife. Using a unique set of psalms, she shows military wives and couples how to embrace their faith for building resiliency, grow a deeper understanding of God's nature as Protector, Keeper, and the Night Watchman, find hope when life as a military family is on hold, honoring God while living out the difficult military lifestyle, the danger of a complacent faith, incorporating unity into their military marriages, and other themes.
Her gentle, warm, and personal nature is refreshing, a key component in making connections with military wives, who can often feel alone and/or alienated.
Lisa has written for various miltary oriented publications including "Charisma Magazine, SpouseBuzz.com, DisabledWorld-com, The Glimer Mirror, I Messenger.com, Military-writers.com, and The Signal.com. In addition, she has been interviewed on several radio shows including, KBRT AM740,The bill Martinez Show, The Talk Station (WTKF-FM 107.1), KQTH-FM and Morning Air-Relevant Radio.

The H.E.A.R.T Formula
Lisa shares five key areas for building unity and a stronger spiritual foundation in military homes.
The Benefits of Spiritual Unity in Your Military Home
Using Psalm 133 as the backbone of this program, Lisa uses biblical principles and Old Testament understanding to bring awareness on a relevant psalm and its benefits for today's military family.
The Dangers of A Complacent Faith
Our military cannot remain idle or subscribe to a complacent attitude towards its threats. It is the same with our faith. We often fight an unseen foe in our spiritual lives as military wives. We need to know the dangers of a faith that becomes complacent in order to stay in God's channel that safeguards us from attack.
