ON, CANADAHeather's career in the horticulture sector began with the Canadian Horticultural Council, where she worked in communications, issues management and food safety. Her work history includes several years experience working on a fruit and vegetable farm.
Heather serves on the Board of the Canadian Supply Chain Food Safety Coalition, and on the Technical Working Group of the Global Food Safety Initiative. She formerly chaired the Food Safety Committee of the International Federation for Produce Standards.
