I had the chance to attend Karin’s Courageous Leadership session during NAR’s AE Institute, and it was outstanding! She took topics that are usually uncomfortable (conflict, accountability, tough conversations) and made them practical, human, and immediately usable. Her concept of “conflict cocktails” gave our group fresh, practical language to talk about the real tensions we face, inviting better ideas, and setting real expectations that gave our association leaders concrete language and tools we can take strating back to our boards, volunteers, and teams. Karin blends strong storytelling, solid research, and interactive exercises to keep people engaged while also challenging them to grow. You don’t just leave inspired; you leave with scripts, models, and next steps. I highly recommend Karin as a speaker for any association or organization that wants to build a more courageous, connected, and accountable culture!

Karin's messages of getting results without losing your soul and of courageous cultures were both timely and engaging for our audience of healthcare executives, leaders and physicians. The industry of healthcare is consistently experiencing change and challenges and Karin's practical tools were a welcomed resource for our busy leaders. Karin's presentation was loaded with applicable and tangible tools that our leaders could take back and implement with their own teams. For example, her movie trailer activity was very well received - our audience was engaged and laughing all throughout and many of them have already shared this exercise with their teams. We utilized Let's Grow Leaders' Learning Lab to further promote the day's key messages - our leaders loved the opportunity to have this information sent directly to their phones. It has offered a new and creative medium to keep our audience engaged and connected to the day, long after the event occurred. We are grateful to have benefited from Karin's expertise and look forward to utilizing the content of her book and toolkit throughout our organization.

Karin Hurt and David Dye were invited to speak to an elite group of highly engaged volunteer leaders from around the world - a tough audience to please. It was an early morning session on the last day of a long conference. Their delivery style, real-world stories and innovative concepts kept this audience engaged. The feedback from the leaders is that they gained takeaways they could immediately apply in their volunteer and professional roles - including tools and templates. I would hire Karin and David again to improve the skills of people who manage others in any capacity.

Karin is an energetic and articulate speaker with an expansive understanding of how to scale the development and impact of leadership. Recently, as VP, Delivery Services - Information Technology at a nationally recognized organization, I engaged Karin to discuss the opportunities and challenges I saw in trying to develop a sustainable platform for leadership content, continuous learning through internal dialogue and industry awareness, and opportunities to meet executives that valued leadership and embraced it as a core strategy. After establishing a solid foundation for the platform, I sought out credible executives with experiences and messages that I thought would resonate with the leadership philosophies and content we had developed as a team and also be interested in participating in our 'Meet a Leader' segment. During this search, Karin was referred to me by a team member that followed Let's Grow Leaders and was impressed based on his own interactions with Karin. When I engaged Karin, I noticed immediately that she was willing to listen and understand our intentions and desired outcome, progress and accomplishments, and challenges. She asked questions that brought about important insights that I had not considered and/or thought through. Just as a leader should do, Karin led me to learn vs stated instructions I should follow. Karin and I collaborated on a theme and framework, using 'Confident Humility to Take a Leap into Leadership', that engaged my staff and is still leveraged today. Karin's development and delivery of the content was excellent. Karin did a great job balancing theory, real life examples, and feedback from the room to ensure we had an inclusive and robust discussion. Additionally, Karin increased the value of her services by offering reasonable pricing for services and including copies of her book - 'Overcoming an Imperfect Boss'.

After attending Karin's workshop at The National Speakers Association's Business Accelerator Lab at High Point University, I had many great tools to help me personalize my business. Her teaching/speaking style truly resonated with me. She inspired me to go in directions I had not previously considered. In some cases she shed new light on subject matter that is familiar, but much of her material was a feast for my creativity and her manner of presentation was easy to absorb. She was the perfect choice for the Business Accelerator Lab; I was greatly inspired by her. Charlotte Cole

When I first started working with Karin I had no idea what a leader was. I've been a business owner but when it came to leadership, I lacked intestinal fortitude. She assisted me by forcing me to confront the leader inside of me. First by recognizing that I am a leader! Then she allowed me to expend my leadership style. She forced me to think outside of the box. Finally and most importantly she help me to recognize leadership in others. Which is why I'm hands off with my transportation company. I employed good leaders, and allowed them to do what they do best WIN!

She turned the tide in our company from an environment of follow the leaders direction, to one in which employees worked harder, volunteered more and were more happy with Company and team success rather than their individual success. Priceless! Karin will be a part of Apartment Turnovers for a long time, she is a part of our fabric.
