Tamela Blalock, MTA, CMP is the Director of Membership Services of the National Association of Wholesalers-Distributors (NAW), where she plans, markets and executes the 16 member Roundtables for the Billion Dollar and Large Company members.

During the past 11 years, Tamela has worked in several Washington area institutions including the Central Intelligence Agency, Washington Redskins and George Washington University. Prior to joining NAW, Tamela managed the federal government/General Services Administration applications for hotels and convention centers at SmithBucklin/Courtesy Associates. Tamela has also served as National Sales Manager to Team San Jose, the convention and visitors bureau and convention center for San Jose, California. She has a BS in Marketing from Georgetown University and a Masters in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University. Tamela Blalock is also a very active member of MPI, PCMA, and ASAE.

During her MPI, Potomac Chapter career, Tamela is currently the Board Director of Sponsorship and the past Board Director or PR/Marketing. During her PCMA, Capital Chapter career, Tamela works as the Chair of the Government Relations Committee writing a monthly column and is the past Chair of Mentorship. During the 2012-2013 fiscal year, Tamela Co-Chaired the Fundraising Committee for the SGMP National Capital Chapter.

Tamela enjoys movies, scripted television (just ask her DVR player), reading on her Kindle, and history and wine tours around the greater Washington area.
