Jorgen Randers

Based in the Oslo, Norway, Dr Randers is Professor of Climate Strategy at BI Norwegian Business School, Member of the Club of Rome, and author of one of the most widely read books on global climate change and the limits to future growth. He is best known as author of the book Limits to Growth, first published in 1952, which he co-wrote for the Club of Rome to study the economic growth and resource constraints and environmental implications for humanity. This sold more than 12 million copies worldwide in 30 languages. More recently he wrote 2052, a global forecast for the next 40 years, in which he makes predictions for the outcome of the world and offers proposals for our response to this scenario.

Dr Randers is an advisor to various corporate and governmental institutions and is speaks on this topic around the world. He is a highly sought after speaker, engaging in over 65 engagements a year all over the world, as an expert in field of climate change and sustainability, demographics and forecasting our future and the challenges facing humanity. He has worked with the boards of numerous international corporations including BT, Dow Chemical, Allianz Asset Management, Shell International, Arup, Munich Re, BHP Billiton, KPMG and many others.
