Ed.S., M.Ed.KY, US
"Global author and College Professor motivates others with her education journey of said topics: diversity, workplace bullying, and inspiration from tragedies to triumphs.

Professor S.D. Barbour is a native of Kentucky [a farm girl].  She's proud of her roots and was encouraged by herself and family to attend college.  She is a first generation graduate who earned her Associates, Bachelors, Masters and Education Specialists degrees [cum laude].

Her journey was not easy.  Before her Masters degree she suffered a stroke in 1996.  It took her a year to recover, yet left her with some deficits not seen by the human eye.  In between the Masters and Post Grad studies she suffered two more mini-strokes.  These traumas caused her studies to be difficult, but she was determined and God was faithful.  She is a strong believer in her faith  She worked hard and graduated "cum laude" in her class.  She did not give up!  She knows she is an educator, a motivator and a beacon of hope.

She has come full circle in higher education as an Adjunct Instructor to a Professor, an Associate Dean, a blessed Global Published Author, Education Consultant and now Keynote Speaker.

Some of her topics include: diversity, workplace bullying and inspiration from tragedies to triumphs!

She has completed two books and in the process of completing her third book.  She says "Educator's who care, seek to succeed."

Bullying: Negative to positive

This program will display a prime fictional example of the 21st century mindset of how the bully picks someone from a "crowd" (i.e. work, school, church, on the street, family, even a gang menber) and bullies them without warning, disguise, high regard, empathy or loyalty.

She challenges the audience to seek alternatives to turn the negatives to positives...she has a story to tell!
