
Sherrie Wilson
Sherrie Wilson is an author, speaker and motivator who inspires and serves through leadership.
Sherrie was the first femail fire figher and paramedic in the Dallas Fire Rescue Department. Hired in 1977 and retired 35 years later, Sherrie motivates and inspires participants in leadership skills such as Team Dynamics, Communication, Possibilites, Dream Team Distinctions and other motivational topics. Keynote, breakouts, half day and full day sessions are no problem.
Speciality topics are Emergency Medicine, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, OSHA Safety and other medical and safety topics are available inaddition to speaking to specilaty groups like women and teenagers.
Sherrie has served on the editorial advisory board for Industrial Fire World Magazine, Emergency Medical Services Magazine, Texas EMS Magazine and as a reviewer of EMS text for Mosby Lifeline, Brady Publishing and National Safety Council. Sherrie has authored two manuals Rescue Team Training, published by Emergency Management Resources and Medical Terminology, published by Fun Ed Inc. Sherrie is currently working on her third book about her life and career as the first female firefighter-paramedic in the Dallas Fire Rescue Department. Faith on Fire is scheduled for publication Summer 2015.
Sherrie has served in a number of leadership roles within the American Heart Association includeing ECC committee member, International Volunteer Leader, leading teams to Russia, India, Mexico and England. She currently serves as a Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Life Support Regional Faculty.
Sherrie also has a background in OSHA safety, Construction and General Industry and serves as adjunct faculty for Texas A&M University, Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
Sherrie received a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Hawthrone University and completed Paramedic training at the University of Texas Health Science Center Dallas, Texas. Sherrie is a graduate of Landmark Education Leadership and Communication programs.
