Maisha Guy
Maisha Guy, Los Angeles native and bluegrass Kentucky transplant, is no stranger to overcoming adversity and turning tragedy into triumph.
The daughter of a 15-year old girl and former gangster father, Maisha was taken from the maternal grandmother who raised
her, spent three years in group and foster homes, and was later returned to her grandmother in the early 90s.
Determined never to become a victim of society again, Maisha rose from the challenges of her early life and is now the CEO of Generation Next Marketing and a Certified Business Analyst. She has built an empowering organization to expose and promote Kingdom Businesses worldwide.
Maisha's mission is to inspire, educate, and motivate businesses with everyday marketing challenges. She is the creator and host of the Empowered B.O.S.S. Network, a podcast airing every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. EST and focusing on educating and empowering Kingdom Businesses with business building, marketing and operations tips and techniques.
Her climb from the gang-infested projects of her youth to her current country living (quite a culture shock!) gives her a unique understanding of the hardship and inner turmoil of today's youth. Dedicated to developing the next leaders of tomorrow, Maisha founded the Generation-Next movement, which exposes this generation of entrepreneurs and business using biblical principles and hidden revelations.
As a staff member, volunteer, board member, and consultant, Maisha has helped scores of nonprofits and businesses large and small, community-based and nationwide, to get the word out about their work; recruit new members, donors, and volunteers; and develop creative strategies that worked, all on limited financial and staffing resources. She has been a host and speaker at nonprofit fundraisers and raised over $100,000 in donations while working hand-in-hand with corporate executives, celebrities, and political figures. Maisha has coached a wide range of clients, from small businessowners to entertainment professionals to nonprofit organizations.
She is currently contracted as the Business Development and Marketing Director for the international magazine Hope for Women and is responsible for running the day-to-day operations.
