Cordell is a top business professional who has spent more than 20 years helping thousands of companies achieve outstanding success. After graduating from Mississippi State University and serving state-side during Desert Shield, Cordell began a career with Driven Brands (owner of Meineke and Maaco). Cordell spent 20 years there, with increasing levels of responsibility for Operations, Business System Compliance and Training. After overseeing training internally for Driven Brands, Cordell founded Tortal Training in 2000. Today Cordell spend the majority of his time helping business owners by sharing success clues he has learned over the years.
Cordell is now recognized as pioneer who was among the first to focus on the critical role that training plays in cultivating great brands.
Cordell currently serves on the Supplier Board for the International Franchise Association (IFA). He has also served on the Educational Foundation of the IFA, the Board of Governs for Institute for Certified Franchise Executives (CFE), the Education Committee of the Automotive Aftermarket Association, and as a Trustee of the Motorist Assurance Program.
Cordell is an active citizen of Charlotte, NC, where he lives with Donna and two college children. He is a "Huge Carolina Panthers fan." When he is not busy being a husband and parenting, you can find him traveling, pampering his classic Jeep Grand Wagoneer or fishing.
