Best selling author and speaker, Karen Valencic is passionate about revealing the keys to mastering conflict so leaders can fast-track innovation and smooth the turbulence of change – thereby increasing momentum.

Karen’s sessions are memorable - uniquely grounded in martial arts and physics!  Three decades of experience developing high-performing teams informs her content. An artistic and action flare is added by 30 years of Aikido practice, a martial art in which she holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt.  The practicality of her content comes from her tenure as a degreed mechanical engineer. She is the founder and president of Spiral Impact, a performance improvement company.  Her new best seller is The Black Belt Edition: Spiral Impact: The Power to Get It Done with Grace.

Karen’s speaking experience over 25+years includes a wide diversity of audiences including numerous SHRM groups, ATD (Association of Talent Development) groups, LillyX, Medical Group Management National and Chapters, Women Heart, United Way Regional, Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership International Conference, American College of Healthcare Executives Congress, Animal Welfare National Conference, Healthcare BusinessWomen Association, Indiana University Health Executive Board and numerous healthcare teams.  Karen has also worked deeply in organizations developing high performing teams.  Her method is third party validated showing her engagement moved 11 of 12 poor performing teams to the highest level.

Karen is a current member of Newsweek’s Expert Forum. Formally, she was adjunct faculty at Butler University, Greenleaf Servant Leadership, and Indiana University Health.  She served as the VP of Mentoring on the Board of HealthCare BusinessWomen where she developed and launched a mentoring program for three years.  She also served six years on the Central Indiana American Society of Training and Development.  Other board involvement includes Spotlight on Nursing and The Holliday Park Foundation.  In Karen’s personal time she was a Girl Scout leader for 12 years and a trained hospice volunteer.
