BC, CANADAFollowing a successful career in the investment business, Pamela cast off her affluent, prestigious lifestyle and followed her dream of skippering her boat 46 ft sailboat Precious Metal along with her little dog Riley from as far north as Alaska, to South and Central America - mostly single-handedly. During this 5 year voyage she faced many hardships that forced her to adopt noteworthy concepts from her former personal and professional life to stay alive. Things didn't always go as planned.
Pamela's newly released (second) book entitled, "What Was I Thinking?" together with her enlightening and entertaining speaking presentations inspire audiences of all ages and walks of life. Through Pamela's highly compelling story she demonstrates that there's a strong correlation between managing a sailboat single-handedly and dealing with personal and professional challenges of everyday life including: fear, crisis management, knowledge, to name a few. Pamela's compelling stories about our serious ecological crisis in the oceans, value differences between First and Third World societies, philanthropic work in many developing regions, and managing her boat in adverse situations are truly unique.
