World-class athlete speaking on peak performance and finding the Gold medalist within us all.

While growing up in Los Angeles, Oz's early life was crippled with misdirection, family dysfunction and later riddled with drugs, and a street life. In 1996, he joined the Marine Corps and fought his way into the ranks of Marine Special Operations, the Recon Marine. Following two deployments to the Middle East, Oz decided to transfer branches into the Navy, to serve as a Navy Seal. In 2001, during the period of his transfer, Oz was involved in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident. He suffered a spinal cord injury that left him significant paralysis of the lower extremities.

Since then, Oz has earned his Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University and became a two-time Paralympian. Oz won Gold and Bronze medals at both the 2008 Beijing Paralympic games and most recently, the 2012 London Paralympic games. A 5-time world champion, Ironman Kona Hawaii finisher, and Spartan like mental strength and outlook, Oz now takes great pride in mentoring and being a role model for our population of wounded service members.

Oz, recently decided to leave a position with DoD to pursue a career in motivational speaking. His message, "Know No Limits."
