Bill often uses humor to describe difficult predicaments but always with an underlying truth that points the way forward.  Recognized for his research and insights, Bill has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs including NPR's Talk of the Nation, Squawk Box, The Street, WHRO's Hear Say and numerous others. 

As author of three books on the subject, Bill converted his insights into public offerings through R. William Holland Consulting, LLC which specializes in job search/career counseling, performance coaching and effective interviewing skills.  He frequently speaks on the impact globalization and technology has on the job market and what individuals can do to survive and prosper 

Bill has first-hand hand work experience in support of his research.  It was garnered from his role as Chief Human Resources Officer for Andersen Consulting's Business Process Outsourcing Division and as Executive Vice president for Right Management responsible for 60 offices, three franchise territories in the United States and Canada. He also served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the University of Pennsylvania   

Holland attended Michigan State University on a football scholarship and earned his PhD from there in political science.  As a graduate teaching assistant he received recognition for excellence-in-teaching and later became a member of the research and teaching faculty at the University of California, Riverside. 

He has served on the board of directors of numerous organizations including the Chicago Chamber of Commerce and the Pennsylvania Partnership for Children.
