With over 20 years of business experience, Maria applies a practical approach to clearly understanding her clients needs as well as delivering tailored solutions. She has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors and uses this capability to focus on enhanced productivity and bottom-line results.
Maria started her career at BellSouth in the Business Office as a Supervisor. During her thirteen years with BellSouth, Maria transitioned through many operational positions including customer service, financial services, inventory, information technology, telemarketing and training; all in a call center environment. Her primary role was to continuously improve departmental performance. As General Manager of Operations for South Florida she was responsible for the results of more than 300 employees.
In the private sector, Maria has worked as a training facilitator for Alamo, Aramark, BellSouth, Burger King, Motorola, Office Depot, and The Sports Authority. In the past 5 years, her primary work has been with Motorola throughout the US and Latin America. In the public sector, Maria has facilitated training and strategic planning sessions for Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Martin Counties. As a management consultant and project planner, Maria has reviewed organizations' current processes, documented them for training purposes, and offered streamlined approaches for performance improvement. Her analytical abilities allow her to quickly see and implement the needed changes to improve productivity.
Maria has been the successful co-sponsor of the Office Connection Conferencefor the past 16 years. This conference offers administrative staff at the Broward County School Board the ability to attend a one-day conference to develop and improve their performance. She is an authorized agent for DayTimer and EdTrek and has also been certified to facilitate programs for the Center for Leadership, Pacific Institute, Kaset and Personal Strengths. Maria holds her BS in Corporate Management with a minor in Finance from Florida Atlantic University.
