Annmarie Kelly
Author Annmarie Kelly has firsthand knowledge of the transformative power which determination & motivation can have in a person’s life. A shy & introverted girl, Annmarie's teenage years were marked by alcoholism and abuse. Her life took its first positive turn when she became an elementary school teacher. Her fourth grade students, many of whom had similar backgrounds, showed Annmarie that there was more to her than she grew up believing there was. She began to see her life more positively and, for the first time, felt confident enough to believe in herself.
In her twenties, a broken engagement made Annmarie examine her life’s path and purpose. She spent a couple years in the proverbial “valley” trying to sort things out. During that time Annmarie came to realize she was following a path that could only lead to disappointments, regrets & lost opportunities. She knew she wanted more and better from life – and she was determined to find a way to get it.
Once Annmarie made the decision to positively change her life, she made significant and transformational changes. While it wasn't an easy path, her consistent and persistent efforts paid off. Through them, Annmarie was able to design and build the kind of life that, on her old course, would only have been a dream.
Annmarie left teaching, became a real estate agent, and then managed the office in which she started. After a few years, she was recruited by a Better Homes and Gardens company ti create and develop their corporate university. It was while managing that school that she became aware of how little control people believed they had over their own lives.
A few years later, when the company was sold and her job was eliminated, Annmarie started her own training business, SkillBuilder Systems. The company specializing in management development and communication skill-building.
When Annmarie's first book, Victorious Woman! Shaping Life’s Challenges into Personal Victories, was published in 2005, she combined her corporate training skills and programs with Victorious Woman. The Victorious Woman Project was born.
Since then Annmarie has been helping other women do what she did, that is, positively change their lives. She shows women how to:
- handle adversity
- transform obstacles into opportunities
- achieve positive change both at home and at work, and
- become leaders in their lives, careers and communities.
With energy, empathy and a “yes, you can do it” attitude, Annmarie helps her audiences, readers, and clients find inspiration and direction and build skills so that they can shape their challenges into new beginnings…and fabulous victories.
Annmarie Kelly is the author of three books: Victorious Woman! Shaping Life’s Challenges into Personal Victories, Victory by Design and The Five Year Marriage (2013). She is a past recipient of the ASTDPHL Leadership Award, the International Women’s Day Outstanding Service Award and the President’s Call to Service Award, signed by President Barack Obama.
Annmarie Kelly lives in Chester County Pennsylvania with her spouse, Joseph Eagle. She loves traveling, vacationing in Downeast Maine, ballroom dancing and spending time with her spouse and her good friends
