Joe 'the Cigartainer' Sweigart
Joe has met more than 75,000 individuals since he started traveling the country on behalf of his clients in 1999. He gave each one of them a commemorative cigar bearing his client's name or logo. Everyone who meets Joe, loves him. And why not? He is his client's 'cigar santa claus' and a great friend to have around any gathering.
He loves his job and it shows. Joe is passionate and real. He is authentic and friendly. He's also really smart and knows a lot about a wide variety of topics. He's combined it all into a philosophy he calls, "Long Ashes, Baby," the name of his first book.
The term, 'long ashes,' usually refers to an exhortation from one cigar smoker to another to enjoy good cigars. Joe added the word, 'baby' to emphasize the full enjoyment of life and not just cigars. His Rule #1 is 'Have Fun.'
Joe developed his 'rules' after becoming a grand father. He now has seven grand children and each one was delighted to hear Joe encourage their frolicing. For adults, Joe reminds us to search for the joy in our everyday lives and to certainly take the time for fun.
Rule #2 is Be Safe. That doesn't necessarily mean don't take risks but watch what you're doing. Don't do stupid stuff. Rule #3 is Be Nice. To everyone. Treat everyone as the unique person they are.
Joe's one grandson is responsible for Rule #4: Just Deal With It. There are some things in life you just can't control and some of those things are not pleasant. Rule #5 is directly from Jim Rohn: "Work harder on yourself than on anything else." The only control you do have in this life is 'your life' - at least how you act and react towards it.
Every single person who has a smokin' great life made the same decision. They decided to do so. That is a decision Joe hopes everyone he meets makes and most already have. That's why Joe says he lives the life of 'long ashes, baby!!!' He meets so many fantastic people, many of them celebrities.
Joe graduated college with a BA in Applied Behavioral Science at age 47. He made a major study of leadership and is a huge Jim Rohn devotee. He met Jim twice and mingles Jim's philosophy with his own.
Harvey McKay is another one of Joe's favorites. While working for BellSouth Advertising & Publishing, Joe became an expert in Total Quality Management and obtained a Certificate in Mid-Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Joe's goal for each encounter is to inspire folks to life changing action. He will effectively change your audience of any size. And he will send them on their way with his special blessing of, "Long Ashes, Baby!!!"
