Harriet Turk

For more than 25 years, Harriet has challenged teens and adults to make positive, empowered life choices.  Her presentations are punctuated by down-to-earth Southern-speak, contagious energy and a calm confidence.  

Audiences learn very quickly that Harriet likes "telling it like it is."  They learn the difference in dreaming vs achieving, choices and consequences, and why they must be willing to do the work to achieve success.  In a world peppered with indifference, complacency and difficult decisions, Harriet offers a unique and fresh perspective regarding leadership, loyalty, and living fully.  Participants leave her programs with a clear, practical message that can be immediately applied in their lives.

Using her bachelor's and master's degree in Criminal Justice, and armed with her arsenal of expertise, activities, and programming ideas, Harriet creates customized keynotes, workshops and retreats. She also draws from her experiences as a former probation officer, youth programs coordinator, flight attendant, pharmaceutical sales rep and college-level instructor.  While each of these career positions had very different roles, Harriet was regarded as a top performer (named Rookie of the Year and #1 Top Performer in her first year as a sales rep) and was quickly promoted to training, consulting and mentoring positions.  

Harriet is comfortable in large association meetings, school assemblies, corporate boardrooms, and leadership retreats.
