
Laurent Combalbert
Laurent Combalbert is a police caatain on leave of absence who holds a qualification from the National Academy of the FBI and was for several years an Hostage Negotiator with RAID, the elite intervention corps of the French police force. He then worked for five years as associate director of an international group of companies to organise and manage crisis situations. These two posts have given him a wide range of complementary experiences during which he has dealt with dozens of crisis situations and directed teams of experts in charge of solving complex incidents throughout the world. He now directs the Ulysceo network, the leader in European crisis negotiation. He is a consultant for several K & R (kinapping and ransom) insurance companies and is called in to intervene is numerous situations where kidnapping, extortion, ransomware and fraud are involved.
Laurent Combalbert is a study coordinator and member of the advisory committee of the Institut National des Hautes Etudes de Sécurité et de Justice (National Institute of Higher Studies in Security and Justice) teaches at HEC (the prestigious institute of higher education) and is an assessor for the Association Progrès du Management (Progress in Management Association). He is a regular contributor to radio and television programmes in France and abroad (CNN, BFM TV, France 5, Europe 1, RMC, China Radio International...) as a commentator on crisis situations.
As a consultant, trainer and lecturer, and with considerable experience of managing complex situations behind him, Laurent Combalbert trains and advises numerous company managers and directors in France, other European countries and the United States. He also gives more than 150 lectures a year within the framework of seminars, conventions, executive steering committee meetings and corporate universities.
