IN, USPrior to returning to the consulting business he founded in 1987, Bartholomew J. "Bart" Timm served as a member of the School of Business faculty as Visiting Professor of Business Communications, as a faculty member in the Management Department, and as Executive Director of MBA Programs at The George Washington University (GWU). He was responsible for all administrative aspects, (orientation, student satisfaction, international experiences and faculty staffing), for the six MBA programs (Global, Professional, Accelerated, Executive, World Executive, and Healthcare) with enrollment of more than 1200 students. Professor Timm came to GWU from Georgetown University, where he started The International Cardiovascular-Kidney Research Institute at Georgetown University Medical Center, and joined the faculty at the McDonough School of Business in 2003. As a full-time faculty member he has taught courses in Organizational Behavior, Change Management and Leadership and Communications in each of the MBA programs, the undergraduate Business School, the Center for Professional Development, and in the Executive Education Program. Professor Bart Timm served as the Associate Director for the MBA Business Plan Integrative and as the Director for the Graduate Business Program in International Management at Oxford University, England. Additionally he has taught Change Management at Universidad de Externado de Colombia, Bogotá, Colombia, and Human Resource Management at Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, Colombia. Bart Timm has considerable breadth and depth of experience in the business world and has held a number of Senior Executive positions serving as a CEO, COO, and CFO. He was the CEO of a multimillion-dollar full service Home Health Care company and served as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Association for Home Care located in Washington, D.C. Mr. Timm is a retired United States Navy Officer and was a Pharmaceutical Business Unit Director responsible for $125 million dollars in revenue throughout a multi-state area. Mr. Timm was a fast track executive with AT&T and a member of the Divestiture task force instrumental in the break up of AT&T. For more than a decade he was an adjunct professor in Business and Economics and Communications at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and at Indiana University at South Bend. Bart Timm is the owner and President of Timm & Associates, Inc. a management consulting firm he founded in 1987, and owner of www.TheBestResume.com, a website dedicated to helping both employers and employees in the hiring process. Clients with whom Bart has worked include: The Smithsonian Institution, The National Museum of Natural History, the National Education Association (NEA), Dubai Holding (in Dubai), Novartis Pharmaceuticals, The Heritage Foundation, The National Business Travel Association, BAE systems, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Social Security Administration (SSA), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Sprint, US Army Research Lab, SK Corporation (Korea), AREVA (France), MedStar Research Institute, and the Advisory Board Company. He is a cum laude graduate with departmental honors from Hiram College in Ohio, and earned an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Bart serves on the Advisory Board for the Garfield Institute for Public Leadership, and on the Board of Visitors for Hiram College.
