Phyllis Kaminsky has many stories to recount from her days at the White House National Security Council, U.S. Information Agency, Voice of America, Department of State and the United Nations.  Additionally, her two-year stint as Director of Press Relations for Monte Carlo provides an insider look at the lives of international celebrities and royalty who frequented the principality over the years.  Her international assignments have taken her to the Middle East, Europe and Asia and garnered a treasure trove of worldwide contacts, including Presidents, Prime Ministers, Ambassadors and senior government officials.

For the last 25 years, Ms. Kaminsky has been one of the few women to act as a marketing consultant and political analyst for the U.S. defense industry.  Using her diplomatic and communications skills she has assisted companies in the aerospace and defense sectors to achieve their sales objectives in a complex and sometimes unfriendly foreign business environment.

Ms. Kaminsky has pioneered on behalf of women in the areas of public policy, politics, communications and corporate board service.  She was a founder of the International Women's Media Foundation, the International Institute for Women's Political Leadership and the International Women's Forum.  She was the first civilian female appointee to the Board of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and has also served on the Board of the National Defense University. Her service as a Director on the boards of several multi-national high-technology companies has enabled her to develop expertise in critical economic security issues that are of major concern in today's global business environment.   In all instances, she served as the only woman director and  in some instances as the only American.

Her appointment as the Director of the United Nations Information Center in Washington was a major diplomatic and political breakthrough for the U.S.  She was the first American and only woman to have held the position as the official representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations in our nation's capitol.  During her five years of service at the United Nations Ms. Kaminsky worked closely with Ambassador Jeanne Kirkpatrick and as a delegate to numerous UN Conferences.  In 2003 she served on the U.S. delegation to the UN Human Rights Commission led by Ambassador Kirkpatrick meeting at the beginning of the war in Iraq.

Since 1989 Ms. Kaminsky has led the international consulting firm of Kaminsky Associates.
