Glenda Slade
She believes passionately that the effective and efficient use of one's voice and body, together with a good self-image is central to achieving one's professional and personal potential.
It is because of this belief she has spent most of her life in the field of communications. She trained through the late Veronica Hasset of the Durban Speech Academy and after leaving the academy performed on stage for a couple of years, before moving into radio as a presenter and newsreader on the former Radio Port Natal and the English Service. She also spent some time in television in Johannesburg working on a variety of programmes such as Special Assignment, children's programmes and the first live variety programme Sunbeams and Cucumbers which was the forerunner to Top Billing. Glenda also spent 7 years working at The Daily News and and some years in the advertising industry.
The ability to speak well can enhance your career, clinch a sale or sell a point of view. Glenda now spends her time coaching and training people in all aspects of effective communication. She trains top CEO's to take their knowledge and experience and present it in a manner in which other people can understand and learn. Members of management who need to get their message across to both outside people and their staff in an efficient and understandable manner. Frontline personnel, PA's and call centre staff who need to speak on the telephone are taught to use their voice effectively and clearly, presenting a manner which is a "window" to their companies, thus enhancing the company's image. In our country particularly, cross-cultural communication can very often prove a problem. Glenda understands the problems sometime encountered by English second language speakers. Understanding the language, using correct pronounciation and forming the words correctly and clearly can go a long way to improving the communication of people.

She is an accomplished speaker, and has entertained many people over the years using her humour to get her message across , and has spoken at many corporate events, one being the Secretaries of the year Awards at the ICC, and for the Masters graduates at the University of KwaZulu Natal.
Her particular interests in speaking are, "Use your Voice to make an Impact" and "Powerful Communication Skills can Improve your Sales". Glenda also understands the need for voice and image training for the woman executive. She readily accepts the opportunity to help enhance the reputation of women by enabling them to communicate more effectively and assertively. She enjoys speaking to women and urging them to believe in themselves, bring out their own personal style and embrace their unique gifts. Urging women to go out and make a difference in their lives and places of work, her topic is "You have - IT"
