Tameka Williamson
MBA, LSSBB, Certified Coach, Speaker & T
GA, USTameka Williamson is the leading authority on teaching people how to use the WILLs to Win in every aspect of life. As a Six Sigma Blackbelt in Lean and Process Improvement, she analyzed processes and created systems of change for Fortune 100 companies, where her leadership has been recognized and awarded. After a successful career of over 15 years in Corporate America, increasing the ranks into senior management, she is living her dream out loud by translating those same principles and creating systems for change through her signature programs. Tameka is passionate about helping others succeed and it is exuded through her energy and ability to engage her audience. Her approach is simple: be transparent, practical, keep it real and fun. Everybody has the WILL to succeed; they just need someone to show them the way.
Tameka’s passion stems from being the first to go to college in her family, where her parents were not knowledgeable of the process and were brought up in an era where you get a good paying job and you stay on it for 30 years and retire. They were always supportive of her dreams, but the goal of going to college was planted by the things she was exposed to in extracurricular activities and teachers which deposited in her. She just didn’t know how she was going to get there. So, she and a group of friends did the research and charted their own path. Successfully overcoming a few bumps in the road, they all graduated.
While pursuing her professional career and serving as a mentor, Tameka noticed the decline in graduation statistics and lack of preparation for the next level. Only 1 in 4 graduate from High School, while over one-third of ALL dropouts are lost in ninth grade. Seeing the reality of these disturbing statistics, Tameka was prompted to take action. You are either part of the problem or part of the solution.
As a way of giving back to future generations and families, Tameka has committed her life to helping others fulfill their dreams and not make the same mistakes she did, because of the lack of knowledge, proper guidance and preparation. The time to BE ready is not the time to GET ready. Ms. Williamson is striving to establish a legacy that keeps on giving by equipping the next generation with tools that will foster success and make them S.M.A.R.T.R.
Being a certified speaker and coach for the John Maxwell Team, Tameka developed her signature programs around the 6 WILLs that make high school and college students S.M.A.R.T.R so they WIN in life, bringing about positive and sustainable change. Winning Intentionally at Leading Life (WILL) is modeled around Standing out, Reliving your dreams and Removing the limits (S.M.A.R.T.R Principles).
Tameka is maximizing her experiences to equip others with the tools to either avoid the same mistakes or bounce back quicker and stronger on their journey to fulfill their purpose. Her mission is to develop leaders of Today, Tomorrow and the Future by teaching youth and leaders how to Be, Live and Lead S.M.A.R.T.R.
