Anthony Iannarino is an international speaker, an author of five best-selling books, four on the modern sales approach, and one for sales leaders and sales managers. Anthony was raised by a single mother raising four children by herself, and he started working full time washing dishes when he was thirteen years old. When he left that job two years later, he joined a company making cold calls to set up charity events. He was the only person to book two events.
After graduating from high school, Anthony started a rock-n-roll band, eventually finding his way to Los Angeles to front a hair metal band. To make ends meet, he worked for a multi-billion dollar staffing firm. His manager recognized Anthony had won more clients that the three salespeople working in the same office, and forced him to take a role as a field salesperson. He won a 10,000,000 deal within sixth months, with the help of his manager. A few weeks later, he suffered a Grand Mal Seizure.
Anthony had two surgeries, the first to glue shut the arteries and veins that grew into a knot that created pressure on his brain. After a nine after surgery, he had a second surgery to remove the knot of arteries. When he was in recovery, his surgeon, Dr. John Tew, explained that he had to remove part of his front right temporal lobe and he would not be able to drive for two years.
Anthony joined his families business and grew revenue from 3M to 7.8M in his first year. He also attended Capital University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Political Science and English Literature. He won the Dean's Academic Scholarship and attended Capital Law School at night. He later attended Harvard Business School, graduating from the OPM (Owner, President, Manager) Program.
After growing his family's business to $50,000,000 with four salespeople, contact in the community asked him to help them repeat his success. On December 28, 2009, Anthony started publishing a daily blog post at www.thesalesblog.com. In the last month, thesalesblog had 1,000,0000 impressions.
