Dr. Pemberton is a part-time career coach and personal branding consultant who welcomes the opportunity to help others achieve success in the workplace. She especially enjoys working with mid-career employees in the areas of communication, career planning, self-development, goalsetting, and authentic self-marketing.

By day, Dr. Pemberton is a public servant and has been employed with the federal government for over 32 years. She has held positions in the areas of finance, facilities, and human resources. Currently, she works as a Program Development Specialist. In that capacity, she contributes to following efforts and initiatives: organizational development, succession planning, employee engagement, staff development, market research, outreach, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Dr. P received her PhD in Industrial-Organizational (I/O) psychology, which is the scientific study of human behavior in organizations and the workplace. Her research focused on workplace incivility, job satisfaction, and job stress among federally employed women. Wanda also holds an MBA, a Certificate in HR from Duke University, and recently received a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In her spare time, she enjoys serving as a SCORE Mentor, baking, and watching just about anything on the Food Channel™ and HGTV™.
