Bruce Berlin is Founder & Chief Experience Officer at Prioriteams, a leadership training & development company specializing in equipping & encouraging leaders to create high-performance teams through customized learning experiences.  Bruce is an inspirtaional speaker and expert at employee culture development and building teams of enthusiastic employees who care about their organization and are emotionally connected to its mission and the people they work with and serve.

Having received Bachelor degrees in Business Management from the University of Santa Clara and in Hotel Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and with over 35 years experience leading teams around the country in the hospitality and senior housing industries, Bruce has learned how to relate to the hearts of diverse groups of people and inspire them to acheive high levels of productivity and job satisfaction.  While working for Promus Companies (then the parent company of Embassy Suites Hotels, Harrahs Casinos, Hampton Inns and Homewood Suites), Bruce was awarded the company's highest honor, the Chariman's Award for Excellence in Managing People.

After enduring 60-70 hour work weeks for many years, Bruce desired to have more balance in his life in order to spend more time with his family.  He began a 10-year mission studying the philosophies and prctices of leadership experts such as Ken Blanchard, Patrick Lencioni, Jim Collins and John Maxwell, as well as successful organizations like Disney, Ritz Carlton, and Southwest Airlines, learning how their leadership strategies and practices resulted in highly productive and customer service-focused employee cultures that produced high levels fo employee and customer loyalty and long-term profits.

As the Executive Director at The Garlands of Barrington, one of the finest retirement communities in the country, Bruce implemented many of these strategies with phenomenal results.  Employee turnover during his 10 years of leadership averaged less than 20% (compared to industry averages of 50-100%), annual resident satisfcation surveys regularly scored at 98-99% exceeding expectations, and The Garlands received numerous national and international awards for service and innovation.

Bruce founded Prioriteams because he sees that many organizations need to develop their leaders to create a more productive work environment, but lack the expertise and/or time to implement necessary training and practices.  Bruce's leadership trianing and implementation strategies will result in managers being able to do more with less, spend less time micromanaging and more time in their areas of their expertise and passion, and achieve greater work/life harmony.  His proven formula to develop a healthy work environment, by building a relationship-based culture with systems and processes that ensure alignment with employees' jobs and the organization's mission, is guaranteed to result in reduced employee turnover and greater levels of enthusiasm, productivity and engagement.

Bruce is also a motivational speaker, having delivered inspirational calls to action to such organizations as the Urban Land Institute, Barrington area Leadership Foundation, Willow Creek Community Church, Association for Healthcare Food Service, California Assisted Living Association, American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, LeadingAge Illinois, LeadingAge Florida, LeadingAge Kansas, LeadingAge Arizona, LeadingAge Maine/New Hampshire, LeadingAge Colorado, LeadingAge Michigan, and LeadingAge Kansas.

Bruce is a member of the National Speakers Association, the Association for Talent Development and the Board of Directors for Youth for Christ of Indian River County.
