For 14 years Barbara has been speaking and coaching thousands of people to live in joy. As an ordained minister she has inspired people to create new careers, fulfilling relationships, experience greater filfillment, freedom and peace of mind. Barbara has the capacity to create a safe environment for participants and people leave her presentations inspired to take action. Barbara changed her life and she shares the tools necessary to shift lives into a place of real and lasting joy.
Barbara has lived a colorful life filled with hardship and yet enjoys a life filled with love and joy. Pregnant at 15, high school dropout, two violent marriages, single parenting, welfare, poverty, drug use, rage and all the trials these things bring, Barbara has turned her life around and she will inspire you to do the same.
Barbara has earned the prestigious President's Award for Southam Inc for outstanding contribution to the company while employed by the Calgary Herald. She left the Herald after 10 years to attend college and study Journalism. Although she never worked in the field of journalism her experience has served her well in other endeavours. Barbara worked for eight years in real estate and then became a minister with the Centers for Spiritual Living in 1998. Barbara founded the Centre for Spiritual Living, Toronto in 2000 and served as spiritual director until July 2011. Barbara isnow the founder and CEo of Joy Here and Now. Barbara has just completed her first book "30 Days to Joy" which will be availale for purchase spring 2012.
