Jayna Hefford

ON, CANADA
3-Time Olympic Gold Medalist

A 3-Time Olympic Gold Medalist and member of Canada's successful National Women's Hockey Team, Jayna Hefford has clearly established herself as one of Canada's top female hockey players. At the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, Jayna scored the winning goal to beat the U.S. and win the Gold medal for Canada. Jayna also played a key role on the Gold medal team at the 2006 Olympic Games in Italy and the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Jayna is a 6-Time World Champion and was named Top Forward at the 2004 World championships. She also played an integral part in Team Canada's win at the 2000 World Championships, where she scored two crucial goals in the final game to tie the score and force it into overtime.

Jayna continues to be a true team player and has the ability to perform under pressure. In a Three Nations Cup game, after three periods of play and a ten-minute overtime, Canada and the United States were forced into a shootout. Jayna scored the game-winning goal to lead her team to the Championship.

Jayna is one of only two players in Canadian Women's Hockey history to play over 200  international games and one of only three players to score over 100 international goals.

Jayna has a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from the University of Toronto. She runs an annual fundraising charity golf event for the Kingston Cancer Centre in memory of her father. She enjoys golf, cooking and owns a successful female hockey school in Kingston.

Client Testimonials:

"I've had the pleasure of hearing Jayna speak a number of times over the past number of years, both as a audience member and as an event organizer. At both instances, Jayna has presented herself professionally. She is extremely well organized and articulate and delivers her message with passion. Most recently, I had Jayna speak to a number of business professionals and their children at a charity fundraising event. Jayna's message was an inspiration to all that attended. Her commitment to excellence, dedication to her sport made me proud to be a Canadian and literally brought a tear of pride to my eye. I would recommend her as a speaker to any organization that is looking at delivering a message of determination, commitment to excellence and National pride!"

"Jayna Hefford is one of the country's most decorated athletes, and she also happens to be one of the most professional motivational speakers. Jayna is able to engage, captivate and motivate audiences with her quiet confidence obtained from being a long term member and leader of Canada's hockey team.  In my opinion Jayna would be successful at anything she sets her sites towards, and as a public speaker you just can't help being impressed by her humbleness and focus and ability to relate to all audience members.  If the concepts of unselfish team work, the focus of winning, overcoming obstacles and giving your best performance to everyday tasks seem important to your corporate team, I would strongly recommend Jayna."
