Outspoken, hip, irreverent - yet enlightening, Cynthia Loyst is the informative voice behind CP24's  TalkTV series SEX MATTERS. This half-hour show airs Thursdays at 10:30 p.m.

A two-time Gemini Award nominee, Loyst's career in television began as a segment producer for CTV's Fashion Television, later joining SexTV in 2001. After years of working as a writer and producer, she eventually moved into the role of Supervising Producer of SexTV: The Channel - a smart, informative, 24-hour specialty station devoted exclusively to embracing sexuality in all its diversity.

Throughout her career, Loyst has travelled extensively to get up-close and personal with people who've shared fascinating stories related to love, life and sex. She has interviewed everyone from academics to fetish enthusiasts, Pulitzer Prize-winning authors and celebrities. In 2003, she produced a documentary for SexTV titled Losing It, which won the Award for Excellence at The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality Conference in San Antonio, Texas.  

Loyst is a graduate from York University's Film and Video Department with a Bachelor in a Fine Arts. She also studied with York's Women/Gender Studies Department. Loyst's career as a relationships expert began during her years at York, where she wrote a sex column titled Pandora's Box for the independent magazine Rosco. Since then, her expert advice has been much sought after.   She is now also a certified life/relationship coach.

Reporting on dating, mating and relating, Loyst has appeared on various radio and television programs including Mix 99.9 FM, 103.9 Proud FM, TVO, etalk, CTV Newsnet and The Marilyn Denis Show. She is a sought after as a public speaker on the topic of love and sexuality at colleges and universities throughout the GTA including Ryerson University and University of Toronto. In 2007, Cynthia was a featured speaker on a panel about Digital Intimacy at Centennial College's Integrated Media Festival.
