I am an Expert in Overcoming Adversity and Achieving Success beyond human imagination. I became an expert at overcoming adversity and achieving success not by going to school, not even by choice but because of what life handed me at age 5.
I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, my mother who was a single mother of 7 children passed away at age 28, leaving us, seven kids behind. We were all under the age of 14. I was only a 5 years old middle child.
To make the matter worse, my brother, who was my mom's first born son, died just 2 months following my mom's death. He was only 14, but he would have been our hope in taking care of us, his younger siblings. But, without mom and our older brother, the rest of us were left to our fate.
In a matter of short time the decision was made by our relatives to split the rest of us up, and take us to separate relatives homes so they can take care of us. With that decision, we all went our separate ways to live in different homes away from each other. In short two months, our lives changed traumatically, we lost our family union and never ...to be in one place at one time ever again.
That is where my overcoming adversity and surviving circumstances or adversities in life began. As time went on, my challenges and obstacles had gotten worst; but my surviving skills had gotten stronger with each trial. I lived and survived through child abuse, child labor, homelessness. I even survived physical, emotional, psychological and sexual trauma. I suffered through all of the above abuses for at least 19-20 years. Until one day a miracle happened, to save me from my misery. I left my country at age 24 to come to America.
I have been living in America for almost 20 years now, and I have used my survival skills to help me overcome any challenges I faced as a new comer and adapting to my new life. Not only had I used my skills to help me overcome any challenges that I faced as an immigrant to new culture, new language, etc...but to achieve success beyond expectations.
I have done well for myself and my family since I started living in this land of opportunity. Now, I am in a quest to go passed my family and make an impact in the life of others...
That is why I say that I am an expert in overcoming adversity and achieving success. I have been tested and challenged so many times in my life, with each challenge, I have grown wiser, smarter, stronger, and more knowledgeable on how to overcome adversity and achieve success beyond the norm.
My goal in life right now, is to help others achieve success beyond expectations. Who thought an Ethiopian orphan who lived by suffering so many abuses for 20 years, would come to America and achieve success and live "The American Dream"?
No body believed that this could happen to me, but I believed in a better tomorrow and I still do. It is with that mind set that I fought my difficult days and made it to my best days. I didn't overcome just one or two personal tragedies but many... and I didn't achieve just one or two victories and success but several.
I am now ready and well equipped to share my 40 years of wisdom in overcoming adversities and achieving greatness.
