Dick Vollet has extensive experience in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors with more than 30 years of experience in a variety of executive roles. He has held senior positions within the private for profit sector and played a part in executing the 2010 Winter Games as Vice President of Mountain Operations for VANOC. Dick Vollet most recently held the position of president & CEO of StreetoHome Foundation.

Vollet was also a Director with the Downtown Vancouver Association, has served as a member of the Board of Governors with the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and Junior Achievement, on the Board of Advisors to Ronald McDonald House and has volunteered with the St. Vincent De Paul Society.

The Olympic Games was one of the most intense and rewarding experiences of any professional career, where communication at a very high level was a key skill required to survive. The ability to listen effectively in very intense situations in order to make the right decision was critical, given most decisions made at the senior level during the Games period impacted thousands of people. The ability to maintain a high degree of integrity and trust with the people around you was integral to the team being successful; this took discipline and a great deal of commitment, not to mention a never quit attitude. The experience has allowed Vollet to develop a "no fear" approach to any business situation knowing anything is possible with the right people and a clear vision.

Prior to the Olympic Games his background was in the highly competitive Retail industry where customer service is the main differentiator between establishments winning and retaining customers. As Vice President Operations for a number of H.Y Louie Companies, including TLD Computers, Sonora Resorts, and London Drugs the ability to lead an organization strategically, while at the same time implement programs for future growth took a great deal of strategic thinking and clear vision. One of his personal success factors is the ability to lead a team, by building consensus and communicating a clear and concise vision of what the future looks like.

Vollet is a passionate and enthusiastic leader with a dynamic presentation style able to relate his experience to real world examples business leaders' face today. He has shared his experience at annual retail vendor conferences, and shared the stage with President Bill Clinton, Walter Cronkite and Tom Peters. His experience in the not for profit sector demonstrates a successful track record, as he chaired the Children's Hospital Miracle weekend two consecutive years raising over $23.0 million. The ability to articulate a clear vision of success for multiple committees across a variety of business sectors, takes an excellent communicator and a dedicated team.
