Pelaji Kyauka, Ph.D. is an anthropologist, researcher, and educator. He earned a Ph.D. from University of California at Berkeley, a M.S. from Dar Es Salaam University, Tanzania, and holds a California Teaching Credential, and has taught in universities and urban public schools in California. Pelaji authored a primary science textbook, and taught teachers in Tanzania and California.

 

Dr. Kyauka believes in the application and power of educational research-based information and knowledge in teaching and learning. He also believes in effort-based learning. Dr. Kyauka has kept abreast of current educational research findings, and he is convinced that dissemination of this information and knowledge is important in developing the capacity of educators, students, parents and communities to advance teaching and learning in public schools.  Pelaji is interested in the schooling disparities and as an educator; he writes educational articles for the Examiner.com.
