Neil Bearse
The social web has ushered in a new era in communication, presenting business leaders with a myriad of new opportunities and challenges. With a background combining formal training in education with extensive expertise in social media, web analytics and digital marketing, Neil Bearse is able to bridge the gap between technology and business - delivering a talk that is, at once, informative, entertaining and enlightening.
His pioneering work to market the music of independent artists online and through word-of-mouth channels like podcasting and blogging led to him representing artists from across North America including Black Lab, David Usher, and Ingrid Michaelson.
Bearse works with corporate clients to develop their understanding of online ecosystems and optimize the use of web channels to achieve business objectives. His clients include Deloitte, Four Seasons Vancouver, Kidrobot Inc., SaskTel, Empire Life, Starbucks Canada and Kingston Economic Development Corporation.
In addition to his role of Associate Director, Marketing at Queen's School of Business, Bearse is a regular contributor to world-renowned executive education programs, with experience teaching on Queen's Marketing Program, Queen's Executive Program, Queen's Strategy Program and Cornell-Queen's Executive MBA.
This past spring, Bearse teamed with former Yahoo Canada General Manager Kerry Munro for a seven-city speaking tour, empowering managers and executives to leverage digital communications and social media to enhance their businesses.
