
Connie Lindsey
Connie Lindsey is National President of Girl Scouts of the USA, and is the organization's highest ranking volunteer in this 3.4-million member organization. Since her appointment in 2008, she has provided guidance in three vital areas-policy, fund-raising, and management. Ms. Lindsey is an integral part of the Girl Scout transformation, committed to building and sustaining membership growth and ensuring girls receive a premier leadership development experience. She is a member of the board of governors of the Metropolitan Club of Chicago; advisory board member, Northwestern University Feinburg School of Medicine; Leadership Greater Chicago fellow; member of the Economic Club of Chicago; and past board president of Bottomless Closet.
Ms. Lindsey, who is also an Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at The Northern Trust Company, has been recognized for her leadership professionally and in the community, including with the 2009 N'Digo Award for Leadership and Community Service. She is a recipient of Chicago United Business Leaders of Color award, a Diversity MBA Leadership award, Alpha Kappa Alpha Women Changing the World award, YWCA Leaders of Color award, and Chicago Defender Women of Excellence award.
Ms. Lindsey was featured in Black Enterprise magazine for her commitment to mentoring, and in Ebony magazine's Power 150: an annual list of "The Most Influential Black Americans." Moreover, she's a recipient of Northern Trust's Chairman's Diversity award and Volunteer of the Year award. She is an Inroads, Inc. alumna and has been inducted into the Inroads Alumni Hall of Fame.
