Dr. Kristen "Dr. G" Guillory is a motivational speaker, professor, blogger, researcher, author, and life coach. Her passion for helping others started very early and has continued. She believes it is important to be a positive role model and let others know while things might be difficult to keep pushing forward and "Get er Done!" Dr. G wants all to know that change starts from within. Not only will you be sure to laugh, you will be empowered and inspired!
Dr. Guillory has always had a passion for working with and empowering others. She has over 10 years of experience of working with youth and college age adults. Workshops conducted include but are not limited to- sex education, dating, peer pressure, respect, college preparation, drugs, and leadership. Dr. Guillory has presented at national, regional, and local conferences and been invited to present internationally. Dr. Guillory serves on many boards and committees throughout the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex and is a frequent guest on radio and internet shows. Her research interests include youth and education, community initiatives, hip-hop trends, spirituality as a support system and the plight of the African American male.
Dr. Guillory received her Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business from Texas Christian University; her Masters of Science in Social Work reflects a concentration in Administration and her PhD in also in the field Social Work with concentrations in statistics and school drop out. Both her masters and Ph.D. are from the University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, TX.
